My Love of Playing Online Blackjack

Well, I was asked to contribute to the blog and write a post. However, at this time, I just don’t have much to write about in regards to grunge. While I dress in the style and enjoy the music, I’m starting to becoming disinterested in it. I chose this style because it wasn’t overdone and really made me unique, but now that others are hopping on the grunge band wagon, I’m sort of over it. As such, while I was asked to write about grunge, I decided to be a rebel and write about something that I enjoy today.

I have recently started playing blackjack online and online slot machines over at the online casino casino euro and widely popular internet casino drake casino. I have always enjoyed online gambling, but going out to a casino isn’t my favorite thing. There are people all over and when they win, they try to talk to you and high-five you. It’s simply too upbeat and cheery for me. So I gave online gambling I try and found that I enjoy it. My favorite game to play is blackjack. I feel like I have a lot of control over what happens and the odds are a lot better for winning compared to things like slot machines. I have primarily been playing blackjack at LeoVegas. I really enjoy this site more than the others that are available because I feel that the game isn’t rigged and I win. I also get great incentives for loading my cash, and if I do lose, at least I get to have fun and play awhile. Some other sites, you lose like five hands in a row and they take your money quickly, which isn’t fun. This website isn’t like it at all.

If you enjoy gambling, but do not like dealing with people, I recommend you give online gambling a whirl. You may enjoy it as much as I do.

My Favorite Grunge Outfits

Hello, It’s Lisa here writing this blog for you. Today I decided that I wanted to go into depth and tell you about some of my favorite grunge outfits. As you likely know, grunge outfits for girls typically revolve around black ripped jeans, a band t-shirt and a flannel. The outfit can be accentuated with combat boots and a beanie, when it’s cold out. However, while I love grunge clothing, I am also finding that I love some of the newest trends that are coming out, and these surprisingly can be combined with some of my favorite pieces.

For example, instead of a band t-shirt under my flannel, I am wearing a halter. This updates the look to look hot and sexy, while still looking grungy and edgy. The striped sweater is also a trendy piece right now. It has a very Kurt Cobain look and feel to it. It pairs well with ripped jeans, yet gives off a different look than a regular flannel. The last twist to a grungy look that I am digging is the chambray shirt. The chambray shirt, or basically a lighter denim shirt, can be worn over a rock t-shirt. An unfitted one pairs well with ripped jeans or cut off jean shorts. It is a great way to do something different than a flannel shirt, while still keeping up with the grungy, unfitted look.

If you love to dess in the grunge style, but are tired of just flannels, ripped jeans and rock t-shirts, there are many ways to venture out without losing the feel you are going for with your clothes. I hope some of my favorite ideas gave you new grunge look ideas.

My Favorite Grunge Bands

Hi! Lisa writing to you all. Today on the blog I wanted to tell you about some of my favorite up and coming grunge bands. Anyone who is into grunge rock is familiar with some of the most popular bands including Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots and The Smashing Pumpkins. So instead of focusing on what you know, I wanted to let you know about who you may not be aware of.

  • The Garage Grungers

With a name like this, you know this is going to a grunge band. I love the sound that this band has. It sounds like old school grunge music, with a refreshing and modern twist. Unfortunately this band is really new, so they don’t have top of the line equipment. However, if you are looking to follow a band’s journey from the bottom on up, start listening to this group.

  • Screaming Souls

Screaming Souls is a local band that can be found playing at many local music venues. They often play for smaller crowds, giving intimate and haunting performances. Their lead singer is filled with emotion and gives gut wrenching and emotion inducing performances. If music speaks to you, this group is speaking your language.

  • Not Your Brother’s Rockband

The last local grunge band I want to highlight is Not Your Brother’s Rockband. This band writes their own music, and if you really listen to the words, you will find many sarcastic overtures about the world we live in today. Many of the lyrics are funny, but unless you pay close attention, you may not pick up on it. I enjoy having to think and really pay attention while listening to their witty songs and I’m sure you will enjoy it as well, which is why I recommend you check them out.

The Making of My Grunge Music Video

Hello blog readers. Today it is I, Martin, who will be writing this blog for you to enjoy. And I have some exciting news to share with you all. I am making my first grunge music video. That’s right. I’m creating a video playing my original grunge song and showcasing some of my friends in the video.

Currently, I have filmed scenes for the video around the local skate park, near an interesting looking tree at a quiet park and down around the train tracks where no one typically ventures. I really want to have a grungy look and feel to the video, so after it is shot, I am thinking about turning it into a black and white or sepia tone to really give it that old school feel. But as a modern twist, I may add pops of color.

I still need to shoot myself and my band playing, so I need to find a cool venue for that scene. I’m thinking maybe shooting outside of an old rundown warehouse or even on the outskirts of a cemetery at night. I also need to find someone who can shoot for me and has the style I am looking for.

I am really excited for this music video as it will be both the first time that I make a music video and that my band has a music video. When it is completed, I will post it here for all of you to see.

My Grunge Guitar Woes

Thanks for stopping by the blog and reading. It’s really righteous of you all to take the time out of your day to read all about our lives. Today’s blog is brought to you by I, Martin.

So, I am finding myself in a bit of a dilemma. I got a new guitar. And while for many musicians this would be a good thing, it is kind of a bummer for me. You see, I really want a grungy looking guitar to match the style of the band, music and my clothing. However, I do not want to do anything that breaks the new guitar or negatively alters its sound.

I was thinking about painting it, but I am afraid that the paint won’t properly adhere because of the finish on the guitar. I want the guitar to look grungy, but not like a cheap child’s guitar. I also thought about sanding the guitar down to create a worn look and feel to it, but then I worry about this looking uneven. What if some of the finish comes off, and not all of it. Then I have a guitar with shiny patches which would look unbelievably gross.

So as of right now, I am feeling depressed and in a woe is me mood. I do not know what to do about the guitar and how to alter it so that it looks grungy and worn, without looking like trash. If anyone has any suggestions or has completed a project like this, please let me know how you did it in the comments below. Thanks!

Parents Just Don’t Understand

I am writing this blog out of pure frustration, but I am sure many of you readers can sympathize with me. Just like many of you, I prefer to dress in a grunge style. I love my old flannels and jeans that are worn in. Not only does it represent who I am as a person, but it is comfortable. I hate following trends and shopping, so I could care less about what brands are popular or what styles are popular. To me, the grunge style will always be good enough for me.

However, me and my mother do not see eye-to-eye on this issue. She is embarrassed of the way I dress and thinks I look like a bum. In fact, she told me that she is prohibiting me from dressing like this anymore. It embarrasses her and she is afraid if her friends, colleagues or our family see, they will think that we are poor or that she cannot afford to properly dress me I think that she is being downright ridiculous and she is placing too much value in what other people think.

I do not know how this argument is going to end. I half worry that one day when I am at school or at band practice she will go in my room with a garbage bag and throw away all of my grunge clothing and fill my closet with clothes that I will never wear. If she does this, I will be livid and will head to a thrift shop to buy my own threads. But one thing is for certain. I am not backing down and I have a feeling she is not either. Wish me luck in my fight for my freedom to wear what I want.

Why I Love Dressing in Grunge Clothing

Unless you have dressed in grunge clothing, you may not understand why those who wear it love dressing this way. When you view those of us who wear this style, you may view the clothing as being tattered, old, or dirty. However, there is a reason many of us who love this style continue to wear it.

This whole issue started with my mother and father. You see, we go to church and I have to go to Sunday school every Sunday. It is their rules and if I don’t, they won’t let me go to band practice, so I go. However, they force me to wear a suit. I hate wearing a suit. It is stuffy and uncomfortable. It is stiff and I can’t feel like I can move very well. When I told my mother about how much I hate wearing a suit, she told me at least I look more presentable than when I wear those old tattered rags I normally wear. She then asked me why I like to dress like that when I can wear nicer items and be more presentable.

I enjoy wearing grunge clothing simply because it is comfortable. Think of how comfortable it feels to slide into a well-worn pair of jeans. They fit your body well and since they are worn, they are not stiff. And I enjoy wearing cotton tees and flannels, because again, they are comfortable. I don’t have to wear itchy sweaters or hooded sweatshirts that make me feel like a sweaty pig. If you have ever wondered why someone dresses in grunge clothing, it is because the style speaks to them and they enjoy being comfortable.

How to Out-Grunge Someone Else’s Clothing

Hi to all of you on the Internet. My name is Rachel and it is my turn to write a blog for this site. I sat and thought and thought about what topic to cover and then it finally hit me. I could write about how to out-grunge someone else’s clothing. You see, my friend Lisa, another contributor to this blog, always brags about how grungy her clothing is and how it is the epitome of the style. But I really want to outdo her and show her that she is not the leader when it comes to this style. This left me thinking about ways to out-grunge someone else’s clothing, and I decided to share my tips with you.

  • Google Some of Your Favorite Grunge Bands

The first thing you can do to out-grunge someone is to search images for some of your favorite grunge bands. This is a good place to gather ideas for new grunge looks that you may not have even considered trying. Trying to replicate some of the types of clothing and styles that your icons are wearing.

  • Hit Up Thrift Stores

Another way to out-grunge someone is to check out the offerings at local thrift stores. When you think of grunge clothing, you typically think of ripped denim, flannel and grunge band shirts. But there are a lot of interesting pieces that can pair well with this style that you may not think about until you see it. Hitting up the thrift store is a great place to seek pieces of clothing that are not main stream, allowing you to out-grunge your nemesis.

  • Transform Your Hair

Lastly, if your are trying to out-grunge a female, don’t forget about your hair. Wearing a grungy hairstyle, such as a wavy look that looks like you just rolled out of bed, can be the perfect accessory to any outfit, completing your look.
